Export process
How the Toyota Camry export process works
- 1
Inquiry & specification
Tell us the model year, trim or budget, colour, quantity and destination. We confirm availability and reply with an FOB or CIF quotation.
- 2
Proforma invoice
We issue a proforma invoice listing the exact vehicles, price, delivery time and payment terms. Nothing is paid before you agree it.
- 3
Allocation & inspection
Vehicles are allocated and inspected. You receive photos or video; an independent inspector can be appointed at your request.
- 4
Loading & shipping
Cars are secured by Ro-Ro vessel, container or car carrier depending on route and quantity. Mixed-model loads are accepted.
- 5
Documents & delivery
Export documents are sent for customs clearance at destination, and we confirm every milestone until your cars arrive.
What is the difference between FOB and CIF?
FOB (Free On Board) means the price covers the car loaded on the vessel at the Chinese port; you arrange freight and insurance. CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) adds sea freight and insurance to your destination port. Both are Incoterms 2020 rules for sea transport. The official definitions are published by the International Chamber of Commerce in the Incoterms® 2020 rules. For overland deliveries to Central Asia, a land-transport term is agreed on the proforma invoice instead.
What goes on the proforma invoice?
The proforma invoice (PI) lists the exact vehicles by model year and factory trim code (for example “2027 Camry 2.0HE”), colours, quantity, unit price, delivery term (FOB, CIF or other), delivery time and payment terms. You check and agree it before paying anything. Shipping fee and delivery date are negotiated per order and written on the PI.
How long does it take to ship an in-stock Camry?
Shipment of in-stock vehicles can be arranged within 10 working days after payment. Specific trims or colours depend on sourcing; we confirm the timeline on your proforma invoice.
How are cars shipped?
- Ro-Ro (roll-on/roll-off): cars are driven onto a vehicle carrier ship. Usually economical for larger quantities where a Ro-Ro service runs to your port.
- Container: cars are secured on two-tier racks and lashed inside containers. Suits smaller quantities and mixed-model orders, and protects the vehicles in transit.
- Car carrier / rail: for overland routes to neighbouring countries in Central Asia.
Mixed-model orders are accepted, and we help optimise container loading to save on shipping costs.
Which documents come with the car?
Typically the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (or road/rail transport document) and certificate of origin. Your destination may need more; tell us before shipment and we confirm what we can provide.
Can I use my own inspector?
Yes. We coordinate inspection, and you may appoint an independent inspection company of your choice before the cars leave. At each milestone you receive a photo or video confirming the status of your vehicle.
Who clears the car at destination?
Import clearance, duties and registration are handled at destination by you or your customs broker. We prepare the export side and share the specification data your broker needs. See the notes for each market and our Kazakhstan import guide.
